We aim to improve the quality of life of people affected by cancer and other life threatening illnesses in Hastings and Rother by providing specialist counselling and psychological support, complementary therapies and therapeutic group activities. This includes family members, carers and loved ones.

The Trust supports over 800 people each year. The Trust is the sole provider of these services for all patients of St Michael’s Hospice and The Rye, Winchelsea and District Memorial Hospital, providing care to people on the wards and in their own homes. We also provide care at our dedicated Therapy Centre in Sidley, Bexhill.

For 25 years, The Sara Lee Trust has worked to support those most in need, partnering with local healthcare organisations to provide the very highest standards of health and wellbeing support at a time and place to suit the individual.

Our services are provided free of charge, and access is by referral from health and allied care professionals.

All donations made online by debit or credit card payment are processed by ‘Memory Giving’, please click here for their terms and conditions. Donations made through ‘Memory Giving’ are dealt with solely by ‘Memory Giving’, which pass the donated funds direct to the chosen charity. Donations are accepted up to 6 weeks after a funeral. When the donation page closes the family will be sent details by ‘Memory Giving’ listing all donations made.
‘Memory Giving’, similar to other on-line payment services, deduct 5% from each donation to cover their administrative costs. Debit & credit card payments are transacted via Worldpay who charge up to a 2% fee for processing each donation. These deductions are NOT applicable on any Gift Aid element of a donation. Neither C. Waterhouse & Sons or Heathfield Funeral Service receive any form of fee or commission from anyone donating via ‘Memory Giving’. If you qualify for Gift Aid please tick where indicated on the donation page as this potentially increases your donation by up to 25% which, in our opinion, far exceeds the additional ‘Memory Giving’ charges.
