About the Crematorium in Tunbridge Wells

One of our longest standing crematoriums, the Kent & Sussex Crematorium was dedicated by The Lord Bishop of Rochester on 2 December 1958 and carried out it’s first cremation 6 days later.

Over the years this longstanding crematorium has benefitted from many changes and improvements. Including the most recent updates in 2014; when the crematorium installed replacement cremators with state of the art emissions monitoring and filtration equipment. As well as the provision of a new catafalque and curtains within the chapel.
